Premier Employer Award
Opportunity Now runs the UK’s leading benchmark for gender, equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The benchmarking process involves 110 questions on all areas of employment practice and asks organisations for evidence of their approach in four key areas. All surveys are individually validated by Opportunity Now and an independent assessor audits the process. Following completion of the benchmark organisations receive an overall percentage score, comparison data from their sector and advice and guidance on areas of suggested improvement. The benchmarking process is designed to help assist organisational improvement and individual employer results are not reported externally. The new Premier Employer award recognises outstanding achievement in gender equality, diversity and inclusion. The award is linked to the results of the 2008/2009 benchmarking survey. The three highest performing organisations were invited to put themselves forward for this award. A judging panel then interviewed these top performing employers to establish exceptional practice in process, commitment and impact. The three highest performing organistions were:
