Winning for Women at JPMorgan
Betsy Nelson was winner of the 2007 Opportunity Now Champion Award
![]()
Betsy Nelson, head of JPMorgan’s EMEA Corporate Banking business, has long made significant contributions to promoting, advancing and embedding a culture of inclusion within JPMorgan. During her 28 years at JPMorgan, Ms Nelson has helped to promote the idea that it is a place for talented people from all backgrounds and perspectives.
Ms Nelson said, “It has been personally rewarding for me to receive this award and be recognised for helping to build a culture of inclusion both within my business and across JPMorgan. I think my mentoring, recruiting and work with senior managers has helped advance the womens’ agenda at the Firm. It is also rewarding to see JPMorgan’s name associated with this vital agenda, which demonstrates that women can make a difference in City firms. The fact that Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO, leads our Corporate Diversity Council is testament to the importance of diversity at the Firm and the recognition that it is good for business.”
