Equality Act 2010
Overview
The Equality Act 2010 came into force on 1st October 2010. The purpose of this web page is to give an overview and answers to FAQ's on the Act and to provide a round up of links to other organisations that give comprehensive information on the Act.
What are protected characterics?

Are there different types of discrimination? Yes

Are there time limits for claims? Yes
The usual time limit for bringing claims will apply i.e three months from the act of discrimination, unless a tribunal considers it just and equitable to extend the time.
