Deloitte

The Deloitte Employability Programme is a 130-hour course delivered by trained teachers alongside core vocational learning. A full set of teaching and learning materials has been designed by the partnership to support delivery of the programme and the course is underpinned by nationally accredited qualifications. The delivery is experiential in nature and is delivered over a full year to truly effect changes in attitude and behaviour.

Impact:

• 6,000 students have completed the courses – making a significant impact on the attainment levels of these students and chances of securing employment, with qualification achievements between 90%-93% of recent graduates moving to full-time higher-level study or permanent employment.
• Average retention rates for the course are 82% and average achievement rates are 88%. Compared to national benchmarks of 74% & 84% respectively, the success rate of students is 72% compared with a national benchmark of 62%.
• 500 Deloitte volunteers deliver workshops to students annually, the largest regular volunteering activity within Deloitte. Feedback has helped development in communication, leadership, presentation & teamwork skills
