Britain Falls in Pay Gap Statistics

Britain is falling in the world league tables of gender equality with the biggest decline being in the ranking of equal pay,  dropping 20 places to number 81 since 2007.

 

Norway is ranked as the country with the greatest equality between genders, followed by Finland and Sweden.   These figures have been released by The World Economic Forum,  who have themselves have a good history of increasing gender equality in its activities,  namely increasing female attendance at their Annual General Meeting from 9% in 2001 to 17% in 2008.
