Equality Bill approved
The Equality Bill was passed by the House of Commons last night and should receive Royal Assent later today.
The Equality Bill is designed to combine existing anti-discrimination legislation into one single equality Act. The new legislation is expected to come into force in the autumn and will be known as the Equality Act 2010.
