Boards double number of women members

The Independent has reported that the number of women being hired as non-executive directors to FTSE 100 companies is running at nearly double the rate it was before the Davies report, which threatened the introduction of fixed quotas. The article also reports that over the last six months 23% of new non-executive directorships have been filled by women compared to just 10% during 2010.
The number of FTSE 100 without any women on their boards have fallen from 21 to 17.
