RfO Board Mentoring Circles

RfO board members have been mentoring BAME employees, SME business-owners and students in schools, universities and other HE institutions – offering tips and strategies, as well as the chance to network with other BAME individuals across different industries.

RfO’s Race to the Top report highlighted the issues of progression rates within the UK PLC where less than 1 in 10 of the workforce is BAME and only 1 in 15 are in management roles. Currently, there are 8 BAME women in total on FTSE 100 Boards (7% of directors), all hold nonexecutive positions and only 1 woman is a British national.

Considering the poor BAME representation at senior level these circles create a great opportunity for mentee’s to learn stories, tips and strategies from RfO Board members. They also provide the chance to network with other individuals across sectors and industry whilst bringing together BAME employees, SME business-owners and students in schools, universities and other HE institutions.
